Rumajas Amber Sky Crimson Skarloey, Skarloey is an excellent example of our fourth generation of breeding at Amber Sky Labradors. He is a solid,
well-bred light fox red English type Labrador with a calm, loving temperament. Skarloey has a strong well-muscled build and still has time to mature and fill out. He
has a square, boxy, English type head that is contrasted with nice dark black pigment around his eyes and nose. Skarloey's eyes are the color of burnt sugar and together with
his strong English features communciate a calm, kind, and loving nature which is the epitomy of Skarloey. He has been exceptionally calm ever since he was a pup and has
matured into a great adult.
Skarloey is sired by our own Riley (Am. Ch. Briarwood's All Riled Up) and whelped by our
own Lolita (Rumajas Amber Sky Crimson Lolita) and along with his littermate, Emily
(Rumajas Amber Sky Crimson Emily) was a bit of a surprise. The breeding between Riley and Lolita marked the first time that we bred Riley to a fox red Labrador and were pleasantly
surprised that a few pups in the litter were fox red. There was never any doubt that Emily was a fox red while we knew that Skarloey as he matured would be a light fox red
Labrador when he was mature. We are excited for the possibility that Skarloey gives us in our fox red pedigrees and the type and temperament that he will bring as a stud dog at Amber Sky.
Skarloey is an excellent example of our fourth generation of breeding at Amber Sky Labradors. He can trace his heritage to one of our foundation bitches,
Terra (Rumajas Lady Terra), who is his great-great
grand-dam. From Terra Skarloey's great-grand-sire is Jake (Rumajas King Jake), to his grand-dam Lumpy
(Rumajas Amber Sky Pride and Joy), ending with his dam Lolita. He has an uncanny resemblence to our first home bred fox red male, Rudy
(Rumajas Amber Sky Crimson Rudy) who is his cousin.
